Our wines
The success of Château de La Chaize depends on respect for its terroirs and unique know-how acquired over the last 350 years, as well as a modern, innovative vision for “haute-couture” wines!
Our prestige
Cuvées
These exceptional cuvées are produced in very limited quantities from the finest vines of the estate, each nestled within their own walled vineyard (“clos”), and only in the most outstanding vintages, starting with the 2020 vintage.
Clos de La Chaize was established in 1676, at the same time as the Château and its gardens, designed by Jules Hardouin-Mansart and André Le Nôtre. It forms an integral part of this remarkable architectural ensemble. Today, the clos is listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments, and the wine produced from these vines embodies the purest expression of the “La Chaize” lieu-dit.
Clos de La Chapelle des Bois traces its origins to a historic 15th-century chapel dedicated to Our Lady. Located in the commune of Fleurie, this walled vineyard was built to protect the vines from animals and to promote optimal ripening of the grapes. Behind the clos, a small wood helps moderate the microclimate, bringing freshness and thermal balance to this exceptional terroir.
Our single vineyard
Cuvées
With its 23 named plots divided between the Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly, Fleurie and Morgon appellations, the estate promotes plot selection. The grapes from each plot are vinified and aged separately in order to showcase each plot’s character and singularity. Our single vineyard wines bear the name of their cadastral plot while “monopole” indicates that we are the sole owners of that particular plot.

Our great classics
Cuvées
When it is time to bottle the wines, a few selected cuvées from the single vineyards are blended and bear both the name of the appellation and works of the Château’s founder’s contemporaries such as Les Deux Amis (a fable by poet Jean de La Fontaine) or Les Amants Magnifiques (a play by Molière with dancing and music by Lully).
