« A really great Brouilly that emphasizes the mineral and forest-floor side of the appellation. Excellent concentration but still so elegant thanks to the refined tannins that drive the very long, intense, yet delicate finish that pulls you back for more. From organically grown grapes from the monopole vineyard site behind the chateau. »

🍷 Côte de BROUILLY Lieu-dit « Chavannes » 2023 – 95/100
« This seriously structured Côte de Brouilly has a lot of power but remains graceful with a compact core of tightly interlocked fine tannins and stony minerality. The very bright and precise finish has understated strength. From a site on the western flank of Mont Brouilly with mainly pink granite but also some blue volcanic soil. »

« Very powerful and very fresh, this has plenty of drive but also weight and restrained ripeness that beautifully interlock on the medium- to full-bodied palate/ Still really youthful but with a fine-grained tannic core that drives the long, structured finish. »

🍷 FLEURIE Lieu-dit « La Madone » 2023 – 95/100
« An excellent example of the most famous vineyard site of Fleurie. Very elegant and brimming with violets but also firmly structured on the concentrated and focused medium-bodied palate. Hard to believe this has 14% alcohol, the redcurrant and raspberry aromas, along with lively acidity, masking this completely. Develops beautifully with a little aeration in the glass. »

« Packed with red and black berries with floral delicacy, this beautiful Fleurie is so elegant and polished on the lively, medium-bodied palate. Builds gracefully in the long, filigreed, stony finish. Excellent length. »

« A very attractive Brouilly that has generous strawberry fruit and some floral nuances on the juicy and silky, medium-bodied palate. More depth in the long supple finish than the first impression suggests. Impeccable balance. »

« This barely medium-bodied Brouilly is all about elegance and precision. Generous redcurrant and wild-blackberry fruit but not the slightest bit loud. Also wildflower aromas. The gentle tannins build very nicely in the surprisingly long, velvety finish. »

« A serious wine for this appellation that is often regarded as being all about aroma and fruit freshness. Good concentration is married to restrained velvety tannins that are already beautifully integrated. Plenty of violet, black-cherry and raspberry aromas. A quite bold yet polished finish. »
