Terroir

0.5 hectares of vines on a steeply-sloped small parcel on the southern slope of Mont Brouilly.
The vines grow between 400 and 425 metres altitude, with an average slope of 28% and full southern exposure.
Soil is composed of Brouilly Diorite (andesite) also known as “Bluestone”.

Wine making

Vinification : parcel based, 10% whole clusters, 90% destemmed, pump overs and punch down
Type of yeast : natural
Duration of vatting: 14 days

Tasting

Color: Red Garance laquer.
Nose: Black fruits, cherries, spices. Mineral intensity, graphite.
Palate: Greedy red and black fruits aromas, sweet spices, minerality and great balance. Broad aromatic expression and length.
