Brouilly Vieilles Vignes
Selection of old vines on the estate, vines over fifty years old. Low yields give great delicacy and complexity to this cuvée.
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, in whole clusters and destemmed, depending on the percentages going into the vintage.
Wines then go into the cellar where they spend 12 months in oak barrels.
Deep garnet robe. Expressive nose of black currant and blueberry. Silken, fleshy mouthfeel with beautiful balance on the finish. Generous wine with a lingering finish.
Good 5 to 10 years’ cellaring potential; each passing year adds increased complexity.
Best served between 16 and 17°C, with leg of lamb, or pigeon. Goes beautifully with concentrated, reduced sauces.
